Increases minimum salary for teachers by $2,000 per year beginning in the 2019-2020 school year across all license levels and experience years.

Increases minimum salary for assistant teachers by $2,000 per year (from $12,500 to $14,500) beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.

Maintains existing salary supplement programs for National Board Certified teachers, school nurses, counselors, and speech-language pathologists of $6,000 annually plus additional bonuses in specified rural counties.

School districts remain subject to restriction that no local supplement to individual teachers or assistant teachers can be reduced below prior year amounts.

Effective July 1, 2019.
