MS SB2099

Prohibits state and local officials from enforcing federal executive orders, laws, statutes, or regulations issued after the effective date that restrict firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition if they violate Article 3, Section 12 of the Mississippi Constitution or the Second Amendment.

Establishes that enforcement of such federal restrictions is a breach of oath of office for state and local officials, agents, and employees.

Imposes a civil penalty up to $1,000 for a first violation paid to the State General Fund, and misdemeanor penalties for second or subsequent violations.

Exempts compliance with court orders and does not create a private cause of action for violations.

Does not affect search and seizure laws or prevent facilitating firearm transfers under federal law.
