Prohibits sale, farming, cultivation, incubation, or inducement to spawn of Atlantic salmon or genetically engineered fish that may contact or spread contagious diseases to native fish in Mississippi

Defines "genetically engineered" as organisms with altered genetic structure through recombinant DNA/RNA techniques or introduction of exogenous genetic material incorporated into the genome

Exempts dead fish imported for human consumption, dead fish in pet food/fertilizer/consumer products, triploid fish, hybrid fish, shellfish, live aquarium fish, and fish used for closed-system scientific research

Requires Department of Agriculture and Commerce to ensure permit holders comply with the prohibition and adopt rules specifying disposal procedures for research fish that cannot enter state waterways

Effective July 1, 2019; exempts Atlantic salmon already present in the state before that date but applies to permits issued or renewed on or after the effective date
