Amends Section 9-11-9 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to increase the jurisdictional limit for justice court actions.

Raises the maximum amount for debt recovery, damages claims, and personal property cases from $3,500 to $5,000.

Justice court judges remain prohibited from having any pecuniary interest in the outcome of cases once suit has been filed.

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
