Violation of image capture prohibition is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or $1,500 fine, with each image as a separate offense.

Violation of contraband introduction prohibition is a felony punishable by 3-15 years in prison and/or up to $25,000 fine.

Exempts authorized law enforcement, military operations, FAA-approved test sites, utilities, academic research, emergency response, and other specified lawful activities.
