Requires driver's licenses and identification cards to display "PDD" designation upon presentation of a letter from a licensed Mississippi physician or psychologist verifying diagnosis of a pervasive developmental disorder.

Applies to new, renewal, or duplicate driver's licenses, temporary driving permits, intermediate licenses, and commercial driver's licenses.

Applies to new, renewal, or duplicate identification cards issued by the Department of Public Safety.

Mandates the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training establish regulations requiring at least 6 hours of mental health and behavioral training in initial law enforcement certification and at least 1 hour in continuing education programs.

Training must teach officers to recognize behavioral characteristics of autism, Asperger's syndrome, and other mental or medical conditions with atypical developmental symptoms to avoid misidentifying them as suspicious behavior.
