Amends Section 37-9-59 of Mississippi Code to eliminate the requirement for a due process hearing when a licensed school district employee is suspended for five days or less.

Requires that suspended employees be notified of charges and given an opportunity to respond, with the superintendent's decision subject to school board review upon employee request.

Suspended employees lose the right to a hearing under Section 37-9-101 et seq. but retain appeal rights to chancery court if they request a full hearing.

Employees who do not request a hearing within five calendar days of receiving notice of suspension or discharge waive all rights, and the suspension becomes effective on the date specified in the notice.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
