Amends Section 85-3-17 of the Mississippi Code to include settlement proceeds alongside judgment proceeds in the debtor exemption for personal injuries.

Exempts settlement proceeds not exceeding $10,000.00 recovered due to personal injuries from creditor claims, matching the existing exemption for judgments.

Clarifies that eligible personal injury recoveries are exempt from creditor claims even without a court judgment being entered.

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
