Amends Section 37-151-5 of the Mississippi Code to clarify that average daily attendance for adequate education funding purposes includes any day when a student is absent due to sickness or injury.

Students absent due to sickness or injury shall be reported as in attendance even if they do not meet the 63% instructional day presence requirement.

Modifies the definition of "average daily attendance" to explicitly count illness and injury absences in the calculation of funding for the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP).

Effective date is July 1, 2019.
