Exempts active, retired, or former law enforcement officers from the three-year consecutive soliciting bail agent licensing requirement before obtaining a professional bail agent license.

Law enforcement officers defined in Section 45-6-3(c) can apply directly for professional bail agent licenses without the standard three-year prerequisite experience period.

All other licensing requirements, education standards, and qualifications for professional bail agents remain applicable to law enforcement officers seeking bail agent licenses.

Effective date: July 1, 2019.
