MS SB2656

Amends Section 11-46-9 of Mississippi Code to add an exemption for governmental entities from liability claims arising from property damages resulting from motor vehicle accidents involving police or fire protection employees.

Modifies existing language in subsection (c) to specify that claims for property damages from motor vehicle accidents are exempt from liability unless the employee acted in reckless disregard for safety.

Maintains all other existing exemptions from liability for governmental entities, including those related to legislative/judicial actions, discretionary functions, tax collection, and dangerous property conditions.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
