MS SB2671

Prohibits public servants and firearm dealers in Mississippi from enforcing federal firearms regulations that have not been enacted by Congress and signed by the President on firearms, accessories, or ammunition manufactured and remaining within state borders.

Makes it a felony (1-5 years imprisonment and/or up to $5,000 fine) for federal agents to enforce such unadopted federal regulations on Mississippi-manufactured firearms within the state.

Declares federal laws, rules, and regulations created after January 1, 2019, unenforceable in Mississippi if they ban semi-automatic firearms, restrict magazine sizes, or require firearm registration.

Authorizes the Mississippi Attorney General to defend state citizens prosecuted by the federal government for violations related to in-state manufacture, sale, or possession of firearms or ammunition.

Amends existing firearms statutes to make them subject to these protections and takes effect July 1, 2019.
