Amends Section 37-7-301 of Mississippi Code to prohibit public school districts from paying membership dues to the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) or other statewide athletic/extracurricular sponsoring organizations unless they comply with the Mississippi Open Meetings Law (Section 25-41-1 et seq.).

Requires compliance with the Open Meetings Law to be certified by the Office of the Attorney General before school districts can authorize membership dues payments to such organizations.

Applies only to funds paid from local sources other than minimum foundation program funds.

Takes effect upon passage of the legislation.
