Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors may implement a two-year registration cycle for engineers, beginning July 1, 2019, by board resolution.

Two-year cycle would commence in January of any year chosen by the board, with expiration on December 31, two years after commencement.

Renewal fee for two-year cycle capped at $50 for engineers alone or $75 for those licensed as both engineers and surveyors.

Late renewal penalties apply at 10% per month (or fraction thereof) with maximum penalty of five times the normal renewal fee.

Certificates expired four years or longer require reexamination on principles and practice (in addition to new application and continuing professional competency proof), unless applicant has continuously practiced in another jurisdiction.
