Authorizes county boards of supervisors to maintain and repair any public or private nonprofit cemetery located within the county but outside municipal corporate boundaries.

Authorizes municipal governing authorities to maintain and repair any public or private nonprofit cemetery located within the municipality's corporate boundary.

Allows counties and municipalities to accept title to abandoned or poorly maintained cemeteries by majority board vote, with maintenance expenses paid from available public funds.

Defines "public or private nonprofit cemeteries" to include abandoned community, religious, or fraternal cemeteries, but excludes family burial grounds and for-profit perpetual care cemeteries.

Effective date: July 1, 2019.
