Authorizes the State Board of Education and local school boards to implement a voluntary program where physicians and other health care providers offer medical services at public and nonpublic school athletic events.

Provides civil liability immunity to physicians and health care providers who voluntarily provide medical services at school athletic events, except for acts of willful or gross negligence or misconduct.

Requires schools to adopt policies including immediate removal of athletes showing concussion symptoms, evaluation by health care providers, physician referral for confirmed concussions, and clearance before return to play.

Mandates parents or guardians receive and sign a copy of the athletic treatment and concussion policy before the start of the school athletic event season.

Directs the State Department of Health to work with the State Board of Education to endorse one concussion recognition education course available online for Mississippians.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
