Senate Bill 3023 Summary

• Appropriates $138,574,327.00 in special funds to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security for fiscal year 2020 (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020).

• Authorizes 342 permanent full-time positions, 186 permanent part-time positions, 4 time-limited full-time positions, and 70 time-limited part-time positions within the appropriated funds.

• Allocates $33,047,000.00 from the Unemployment Trust Fund for One-Stop Administration expenses, unemployment compensation administration, automation systems, fraud reduction, and building acquisition or improvements.
