Extends legislative condolences to the family of Mrs. Betty Reed of Yazoo City, Mississippi, who passed away on January 9, 2019.

Commends Mrs. Reed's service as Executive Director of Yazoo City Housing Authority from 1985-2018 and her work as CEO of Gateway Community Development Corporation.

Recognizes Mrs. Reed as the first in the nation to obtain Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) funding to renovate Magnolia Crossing and for securing a $40 million RAD project for over 100 housing units.

Acknowledges her role in developing Robert Estates, affordable family housing units for new homeowners in Yazoo City.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Mrs. Reed's family, forwarded to Yazoo City Housing Authority, and distributed to the Capitol Press Corps.
