Extends recognition of the Mississippi Legislature to World War II veteran Carl Lee Nance of Ripley, Mississippi, who served with the 94th United States Army Infantry Division at the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 and January 1945.

Documents Mr. Nance's military service including his deployment on the Queen Elizabeth in August 1944, landing at Utah Beach in France, and combat experiences in which he was wounded twice by booby trap shrapnel.

Notes the 94th Infantry Division's significant casualties with over 1,000 killed in action and 4,789 wounded in action, representing over 60% casualty rate among approximately 9,000 combat soldiers.

Recognizes Mr. Nance's awards including the European and Middle East Theatre of Operations Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Victory Medal, with his discharge occurring January 10, 1946, at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.

Directs the resolution be presented to Mr. Carl Lee Nance and his family, forwarded to the Mississippi Veterans of Foreign Wars, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
