Recognizes Starkville High School Girls Basketball Coach Kristie Williams as the 2017-2018 Mississippi "Coach of the Year" by the NFHS Coaches Association.

Coach Williams led the Lady Jackets to back-to-back Class 6A State Championships with a 31-0 record in the 2017 season.

In her last four seasons, Williams compiled a 100-16 record and won 23 consecutive regular season district games dating back to 2013-2014.

The team made the final eight in the state tournament for three consecutive seasons and maintained an 11-3 record with a 2-0 mark in Class 6A, Region 3 at the time of recognition.

Resolution directs that the recognition be presented to Coach Williams and forwarded to Starkville High School Principal Sean McDonnall and the Starkville School Board.
