Request the University of Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Institute to coordinate the Mississippi Colorectal Cancer Roundtable to address colorectal cancer prevention efforts.

Require the Roundtable to submit written reports on colorectal cancer prevention efforts to the Legislature by January 1, 2021, and annually thereafter.

Affirm Mississippi's commitment to the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable's "80% in every community" initiative to increase screening rates.

Note that Mississippi has the second-highest colorectal cancer diagnosis rate and third-highest death rate in the nation, with over 1,700 annual diagnoses and 600 annual deaths.

Acknowledge the University of Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Institute's existing 70x2020 Colorectal Cancer Screening Initiative aimed at achieving 70% screening compliance by 2020.
