Commends the Lewisburg High School "Marching Patriots" Band for winning their seventh Class 5A State Marching Band Championship on October 31, 2018, in Pearl.

Band placed first in all five judging categories: color guard, percussion, general effect, music performance, and visual performance.

Lewisburg High School Band won seven state championships (2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018) and four state runner-up finishes across the program's twelve-year history.

Recognizes Director Kim Hallmark and staff members Ben McLemore and Nelson Coile for their leadership, with the 2018 championship program featuring a performance centered on Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and women's education advocacy.

Directs the resolution be presented to Director Kim Hallmark and Principal Chris Fleming, forwarded to the DeSoto County Board of Education, and distributed to the Capitol Press Corps.
