Recognizes the late Weenonah Montgomery Dearing, a Natchez native and mother of State Senator Bob Dearing, for her induction into the Delta State University Sports Hall of Fame.

Acknowledges that Dearing won the State Championship and National Doubles Tennis Championship in 1931 at DSU, which was the university's first-ever National Championship earned by any sports team.

Notes that Dearing lettered four years in tennis and basketball at Natchez High School, winning the Natchez City Singles Championship at age 17, and also played basketball with Margaret Wade at DSU.

Directs that the resolution be presented to the Dearing family, the President of Delta State University, and the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
