Extends the Mississippi Legislature's condolences to the family of Dr. James Anderson, Sr., who died on February 18, 2019, at age 82.

Recognizes Dr. Anderson's founding role in 1970 with Dr. Aaron Shirley of Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, the largest health center in Mississippi and one of the oldest community health centers in the United States.

Acknowledges Dr. Anderson's 50+ year career providing healthcare to low-income, uninsured, and minority communities, including service as Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jackson-Hinds until his 1998 retirement.

Honors Dr. Anderson's civil rights activism as a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and his memberships in the NAACP, SCLC, and professional medical associations.

Directs that this resolution be presented to Dr. Anderson's family, forwarded to Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
