Mississippi State University women's basketball team won the 2019 SEC Tournament Championship, defeating Arkansas 101-70 on March 10, 2019, in their first SEC Tournament title in school history.

The top-seeded Bulldogs finished the season 30-2 with a 15-1 SEC record, set a school tournament-scoring record, and shot 62.5% from the field with 12 three-pointers in the championship game.

Teaira McCowan was named tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring 24 points and leading the team; Andra Espinoza-Hunter also scored 24 points and set a tournament single-game record with eight three-pointers.

Head Coach Vic Schaefer achieved the SEC Tournament Championship after seven years as head coach, two regular season SEC Championships, and two Final Four appearances since being hired in 2012.

The legislature commends and congratulates the Lady Bulldogs team, coaching staff, and Head Coach Vic Schaefer for bringing honor to Mississippi State University and the State of Mississippi.
