Commends and congratulates the Starkville High School "Yellowjackets" boys basketball team and Coach Greg Carter for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 6A State Championship.

Starkville defeated Meridian 61-46 on March 9, 2019, with a record of 30-1, marking the team's first state title since 2015.

Zeke Cook led the team with 15 points and 9 rebounds and was named the championship game's Most Valuable Player.
