Dick Hall announced he will not seek reelection in 2019 after completing 21 years as Mississippi Central District Transportation Commissioner.

Hall previously served 24 years in the Mississippi Legislature, including three terms as Representative and three terms as Senator, chairing Environment Committees in both chambers and serving as first Republican Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman in over 100 years.

Major legislative accomplishments include the Education Reform Act of 1982, 1987 Four-Lane Highway Program, Budget Reform Act of 1992, and Mental Health Reform Act of 1997.

As Transportation Commissioner, Hall oversees the Central District covering 22 counties with approximately one million residents and has advocated for increased funding to address Mississippi's estimated $1 billion pavement repair needs.

Resolution commends Hall's service and recognizes his legacy in infrastructure development and public service to Mississippi.
