Recognizes Senator Tommy Gollott's retirement after 52 years of service, making him the longest-serving state legislator in Mississippi history, surpassing Walter Sillers, Jr.'s previous record of nearly 50 years.

Honors Gollott's accomplishments including authoring legislation for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, the South Mississippi Retardation Center, dockside gaming authorization, and preservation of 35,000 acres of the Pascagoula River System.

Acknowledges Gollott's service in the House of Representatives from 1968-1979 and in the Senate from 1980 onward, including his role as Senate President Pro Tempore from 1996-2000.

Highlights Gollott's involvement in building the Department of Marine Resources in 1994 and his long-standing support for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast since 1966.
