Recognizes Dr. Larry L. Johnson for 46 years of dedicated Christian service as Chaplain of Tougaloo College from 1972-2018.

Honors his responsibilities including planning religious life programs, providing counseling services, and conducting weekly worship services for the college community.

Acknowledges his professional roles as Associate Professor of Religion (tenured), Vice President for Student Affairs, Director of Institutional Research, and multiple other positions at Tougaloo College.

Recognizes his memberships in professional associations and civic organizations including the American Counseling Association, Phi Delta Kappa, NAACP, and Central Mississippi Health Services Board.

Commends his honors including the Mississippi Humanities Council Teacher of the Year Award (2000), Century of Excellence Award (2011), and Outstanding Young Men of America (1979).
