Amends uninsured motorist automobile insurance policies to include coverage for claims involving owners or operators of vehicles engaged in police or fire protection that are protected by immunity under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act.

Adds language to Section 83-11-101 stating that immunity for persons or entities described in the Tort Claims Act shall not bar or serve as a defense to recovery under uninsured motorist policies.

Prohibits uninsured motorist carriers from subrogating against governmental entities or their employees/agents engaged in police or fire protection as defined in Section 11-46-9(1)(c).

Defines "legally entitled to recover" in Section 83-11-103 to mean that immunity to tort liability is not a defense to recovery under insurance policies.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
