Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-13-115 to suspend rather than terminate Medicaid eligibility for persons who were receiving Medicaid immediately before incarceration in state correctional facilities, county detention facilities, or municipal detention facilities.

Persons released from incarceration shall automatically continue Medicaid eligibility without needing to reapply or undergo a new eligibility determination.

Applies to individuals who were eligible for and receiving Medicaid assistance at the time of admission as an inmate.

Effective July 1, 2020.
