Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks shall suspend hunting, trapping, and fishing rights of individuals who cause injury or death while hunting with a weapon, effective immediately upon the commission's recommendation to the district attorney and lasting until grand jury referral, prosecution conclusion, or the district attorney declines prosecution.

Commission shall provide its recommendations and investigative findings to the victim, heirs, estate, insurer, or legal representative upon written request if the district attorney declines prosecution or the grand jury does not return an indictment, to facilitate possible civil action.

Individuals convicted of felonious and criminally negligent homicide shall permanently forfeit their right to hunt, trap, and fish upon conviction.

Individuals found liable for wrongful death in civil proceedings based on commission findings shall forfeit hunting, trapping, and fishing rights for 10 to 20 years as determined by the court.

Individuals found liable for negligent harm to another in civil proceedings based on commission findings shall forfeit hunting, trapping, and fishing rights for a minimum of 5 years from the date of verdict.
