MS HB1125

Amends Section 43-21-355 of the Mississippi Code to expand immunity protections for individuals making mandatory child abuse or neglect reports.

Extends immunity from civil and criminal liability to any person or institution that provides information or assistance in connection with a child abuse or neglect report, including medical evaluations, diagnosis, or consultations.

Applies immunity protections to attorneys, physicians, dentists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, law enforcement officers, school employees, and other designated reporters acting in good faith.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
