Revises Section 25-7-9 of Mississippi Code to amend chancery court clerk fees for recording oil and gas documents.

Changes the fee for recording oil and gas leases, cancellations, etc. for the first five (5) pages from $18.00 to $25.00.

Establishes a new fee of $25.00 for recording each oil and gas assignment, amendment of assignment, or release for the first five (5) pages, with an additional $18.00 per additional assignee.

Adds new fees for oil and gas document recording: $1.00 archive fee and $4.00 for entering marginal notations if requested on the document or by cover letter.

Takes effect upon passage.
