Repeals sections 41-7-171 through 41-7-209 of Mississippi Code of 1972, which comprised the Mississippi Health Care Certificate of Need Law of 1979.

Amends 23 related sections of Mississippi Code to remove references to certificate of need requirements for health care facilities, hospitals, ambulatory surgical facilities, birthing centers, and home health agencies.

Removes certificate of need application requirements and associated fees for prospective hospital capital improvements, new service lines, and facility expansions.

Eliminates references to certificate of need compliance in licensing provisions for critical access hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other health care providers.

Effective July 1, 2020.
