Requires the State Board of Education to provide oral and written notice to all incoming middle school and junior high students about career track programs offered by local school boards.

Notice must include available career track programs, course requirements for each program, enrollment procedures, and any other information determined necessary by the State Board of Education.

Career track programs are designed for high school students not pursuing a baccalaureate degree and include challenging academic courses combined with career-technical studies, leading to a standard diploma and community college certification.

Career track students must complete 21 course units including required English, mathematics, science, social studies, health/physical education, career and technical education, technology, and elective courses.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
