Requires the Joint Legislative Committee on Performance Evaluation and Expenditure Review (PEER) to conduct an annual review of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program expenditures by the Department of Human Services and other state agencies, including contracts, grantees, and subgrantees.

PEER review shall include an audit of applicant and recipient eligibility, enrollment procedures, and enrollment statistics.

PEER must report annual findings to the Legislature including total number of TANF recipients, total benefits paid, maximum and minimum monthly benefit amounts, application statistics (total, granted, denied, cancelled), and TANF administration expenses.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
