Amends Section 65-1-75 of the Mississippi Code to clarify responsibility for drainage systems located within the Mississippi Transportation Commission or Department of Transportation right-of-way.

The Commission or Department is responsible for maintenance, repair, and replacement of drainage systems installed by the Commission, Department, or their contractors within the right-of-way.

Drainage systems paid for by private citizens or entities remain the responsibility of the permit holder for maintenance, repair, and replacement.

Effective July 1, 2020.
