Removes the requirement that county sheriffs file monthly expense reports with the board of supervisors for approval at regular monthly meetings.

Eliminates the requirement for quarterly lump-sum appropriations to the sheriff, assessor, and tax collector based on one-fourth of the annual budget amount.

Removes the requirement that tax assessors and tax collectors file monthly expenditure reports with the board of supervisors for approval.

Maintains the annual budget submission requirement for sheriffs, assessors, and tax collectors at July board meetings, with board authority to examine and adjust proposed amounts.

Takes effect upon passage.
