Establishes qualifications for nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) drivers under Mississippi Medicaid, requiring drivers to either be credentialed by the division's contracted broker or meet specific criteria.

NEMT drivers must possess a valid Mississippi driver's license, vehicle registration, and motor vehicle tags, along with required auto and general liability insurance.

Drivers must file with the Department of Public Safety: fingerprint background check, annual all-state criminal background check, annual sex offender registry check, driving records showing no more than two moving violations/at-fault accidents in past five years, and no DUI convictions in past five years.

Drivers must maintain current defensive driving certification, CPR and first aid training certification, and wheelchair transportation training certification for those providing wheelchair transportation services.

Effective date is July 1, 2020, with the entire Medicaid section set to sunset on July 1, 2021.
