Requires school boards of local school districts and charter schools to adopt policies mandating all employees (licensed and nonlicensed) receive an annual influenza vaccination beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, with vaccination certificates due by December 1 annually.

Allows employees to request medical exemptions from the State Board of Health with written documentation from a licensed physician; medical exemptions expire no later than one year from the physician's signing date.

Prohibits exemptions based on religious, philosophical, or conscientious reasons.

Requires the State Board of Health to adopt similar rules and regulations mandating annual influenza vaccination for all private school employees, with the same medical exemption provisions and certificate submission requirements.

Employees granted medical exemptions who remain unvaccinated must be excluded from school and school-related activities until the influenza threat in the community is no longer present or poses no threat to students and staff; effective July 1, 2020.
