Amends Section 45-6-3 of Mississippi Code to revise salary thresholds for classifying deputy sheriffs and municipal police officers as full-time versus part-time law enforcement officers

Establishes separate compensation thresholds for deputy sheriffs and municipal law enforcement officers: $475.00 or more per week ($2,050.00 or more per month) for full-time status, compared to the general threshold of $250.00 per week ($1,075.00 per month)

Defines part-time law enforcement officers as those receiving less than the applicable compensation threshold, with deputy sheriffs and municipal officers classified as part-time if earning less than $475.00 per week or $2,050.00 per month

Includes gender-neutral language by changing references from "his" to "his or her" in definitions of full-time and part-time law enforcement officers

Takes effect July 1, 2020
