Creates a 9-member Flood Prevention and Control Task Force for Jackson to examine flooding policies, programs, and prevention measures in the Jackson area.

Task force duties include reviewing flooding data in Jackson, evaluating current flood prevention and control policies, and developing recommendations for uniform policies throughout the area.

Task force composition: 2 House members (appointed by Speaker), 2 Senate members (appointed by Lieutenant Governor), 3 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers members, and 2 Jackson Public Works Department members (designated by mayor).

Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature by December 1, 2020.

Non-legislative members receive per diem compensation and mileage reimbursement; legislative members paid from contingent expense funds when Legislature is not in session.
