Authorizes the Department of Corrections to contract with George County's Board of Supervisors for private incarceration of state inmates at the George/Greene County Correctional Facility, effective July 1, 2020.

Requires any contract for private incarceration to comply with Sections 47-5-1211 through 47-5-1227 of Mississippi Code.

Adds George and Greene Counties to the list of counties with which the Department of Corrections may contract to house state inmates in regional facilities.

Establishes penalties for assault on private correctional facility employees: simple assault punishable by up to $1,000 fine or 5 years imprisonment; aggravated assault punishable by up to $5,000 fine or 30 years imprisonment.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
