Allows an official court reporter appointed in one district to simultaneously serve as an additional court reporter in another district under the same appointment authority.

Prohibits court reporters who hold dual positions (official reporter in one district and additional reporter in another) from engaging in freelance court reporting.

Updates gender-neutral language throughout sections 9-13-1 and 9-13-17 by replacing "his" with "or her" in relevant provisions.

Brings forward Section 9-13-19 establishing court reporter salary schedules: up to $49,500 for those with 5 years or less experience; up to $58,500 for 5-10 years experience; and up to $64,000 for those with 10+ years experience.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
