Convert four existing restitution centers (Greenwood, Flowood, Hinds County, and Pascagoula) to post-release reentry centers for individuals eligible for parole or early release supervision without immediate access to housing.

Limit resident stays at post-release reentry centers to 90 days or until alternative housing becomes available, whichever is shorter, and prohibit detention of individuals solely for refusing center placement.

Require the Department of Corrections to provide residents support services including counseling, housing assistance, job skills training, driver's licenses, healthcare, education, substance abuse treatment, and community support services.

Authorize the department to seek federal and other funding for supportive services and develop evidence-based residential and non-residential pilot programs to aid personal growth and successful community reentry.

Amend Section 45-33-35 to remove reference to restitution centers in sex offender registration requirements, effective July 1, 2020.
