MS HB1540

Amends Section 25-43-3.109 of the Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (3) prohibiting state agencies from adopting any rule that contradicts or is incompatible with any provision of law.

Declares that any rule or regulation determined to be contradictory or incompatible with a provision of law shall be deemed invalid.

Renumbers existing subsections (3) and (4) to become subsections (4) and (5) respectively, with no changes to their content regarding rule incorporation by reference and uniform numbering systems.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
