MS HB1628

Authorizes Rankin County Board of Supervisors to expend funds for purchase of radar speed detection equipment for use by the county Sheriff's Department.

Permits the Sheriff of Rankin County and duly sworn deputy sheriffs to operate radar equipment to enforce motor vehicle speed limits on public roads, streets, and highways within the county outside incorporated municipality limits.

Prohibits the levying of any fine associated with citations issued for speeding violations detected through radar speed detection equipment.

Takes effect upon passage.
