Increases the minimum age requiring Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices from 12 to 18 years old on motorboats, sailboats, or vessels less than 26 feet in length while underway.

Raises the maximum penalty for violations of Mississippi boating law from $250 to $500 under Section 59-21-153(a).

Maintains requirement that all vessels carry Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices for each person aboard.

Maintains requirement that all persons operating personal watercraft must wear approved personal flotation devices regardless of age.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
