Restores the right to vote to Randy Beckham of Simpson County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector due to criminal convictions.

Beckham was convicted of forgery on September 29, 1994, and sentenced to five years probation; his probation was revoked on April 11, 1997, resulting in a five-year sentence.

He was also convicted of vehicular manslaughter on April 11, 1997, and sentenced to twenty years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Beckham completed his entire sentence and was discharged on December 21, 2008, and has since lived as a law-abiding citizen according to the Legislature.

The act takes effect upon passage.
